Sophie's Photoshoot

Sophie's fashion shoot. I went to Londn and art directed this photoshoot. I had the most amazing time and it made me realise maybe I would like to work in London. The models were perfect for each of their collections. Our aim was to get the model moving so the images would tell a story and the garments would apear bigger. We did this by setting the camera to 1/2 second shutter speed so when the model moved, you could capture her movement too. Alot of the images we got back, where she wasnt moving the images just look slightly blurry.

Choosing which images to take forward was the hardest thing to do, I was up all night dictating the garments and the models face expression and trying to get them both looking good. The background is bark but the lights make it look slightly gray so we are going to edit this without taking away the vibrant colours of the garments or the movement.

It was very good for me as I had quite a big say in how they looked and th style of the shots. Me and the photographer had a discussion on how we would achieve this and after a few test shots we were both happy that half a second was enough time to capture the moment.
