Baseline magazine issue 60

Baseline magazine is all about creative and experimental typography, its really inspirational as there is a poster attached to the cover and i love the layout. The content features :


the swiss publishing house and printing firm Benno Schwabe in 1935, the book  illustrates the application of asymmetrical typographic design for designers and compositors.

AIGA medallist and 2010 MacArthur Fellow, Matthew Carter is the one of the ‘geniuses’ in the typedesign industry. This is the first in a series of articles that discusses Carter’s development as an ‘industrial’ designer.

Influenced and inspired by sculptors Ann Christopher and Edwardo Chillida, Frank Guille, former tutor at the Royal College of Art explores proportion theory in his simplistic geometric shapes.

Falmouth is a University College at the ‘edge’, being situated 36 miles from Land’s End, in Cornwall, England. The teaching staff encourages the students to think analytical and ask questions.
