elana schlenker is a Graphic designer based in Greenpoint. She does mainly publications and type, like me. Her work is very simple, but creative with lots of pastel colours. Based on her website it looks as though she uses alot of recycled stock and polaroid photographs so her style is very young and hip.
Wake Paper is a 24-page a mini-tab newspaper that brings the photographic work of Ross Mantle and written essays from Ron Baraff and Jen Saffron to the Monongahela Valley communities that Ross explores in his series "In the Wake." 9,000 newspapers were distributed for free throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Josh and I have decided to make our IMDb magazine into a supplement, we will print it on newsprint to keep costs down and have it newspaper sized so it neatly fits into one. It will be fairly short, perhaps 24pages like Wake paper.
