I really like the gradiant colours. Instead of doing each individual box I just got the background and put a gradient on it and the drew lines over it and measured them so that the grid was exact. As a cover I think it will look very effective. I am going to cut out the squares using the laser cutter and so you can se the gradient OR image behind.
